The intention of this ministry is to make a change in YOUR life. This site is about YOU. When it comes to the relationship you have with your good Father that is exactly how He wants it. He wants you to know Him completely.
There are many pastors and teachers who can tell you more about the relationship your good Father wants to have with you, so I am just going to share a shortened version of the story of God the Good Father and His relationship with us, His children.
God is your good Father. He created you for His pleasure and He made you to look just like Him. He wanted children that He could love and care for so He created you. In fact He created everything just so He would have a place for you to live. That’s right, you are so important to God the Good Father that He created the universe, the earth and everything in it just for you. You are His child, He is your Father and He loves you more than anything. In fact that was why He created all of us, to be His family.
In the beginning He provided everything we would ever need right here on the earth. He put a seed in every living thing so it could reproduce itself and there would always be food for us on the earth. He told His children that we were in charge of the earth and we were to use it and take care of it. He was turning the title over to us. Life in God’s family was good and the good Father provided everything we would ever need.
Everything in life was good as far as His children knew. The best part of all was that life would never end. God the Good Father first created us to live forever, you can’t do any better than that. But God knew there was evil around and it opposed the good that the good Father had shown His children. As far as He was concerned we would be better off to just not know about evil, that way we could just stay one big happy family with God the good Father. So He told His children that there were some things it would be better that we not know about and we were not to try and find out, because He knew what was best for us. If we tried to find out and did, we were going to be in a lot of trouble.
One day one of the children was just hanging out and Evil whispered in their ear that the information that God the Good Father, didn’t want us to know wasn’t so bad and if we found out we really wouldn’t get in trouble. See, Evil knew exactly what the good Father had said, but he lied about not getting in trouble. Evil said that God the Good Father didn’t want us to know what He knew because then the children would know everything just like He did and we would be just as smart as Him.
So the children found out about evil and the bottom line is, God kicked us out of the house.
He still loved us, but because we disobeyed Him and decided we wanted to know everything, we would just have to go live on our own, separate from God the good Father.
And because all the children that were going to be born in the future would come from us, all our children would be banned from the house also. But God the good Father also knew that us knowing about evil was going to really wreck our lives and we would be miserable all the time. He didn’t want us to suffer like that forever, so He decided that the only merciful thing He could do was to let us die rather than live in misery forever.
He told us that one day He would make it possible for us to come home, but until then we were kicked out. We could still talk to Him, but He wasn’t going to just give us everything any more, we would have to work for what we got.
Well you know how things go, once we got out on our own, we got to really acting up and doing crazy things. The good Father tried to reach out to us repeatedly, but the children were convinced we could make it on our own. Finally after the children had gotten themselves into a bad situation and were being treated really awful, the Father showed up, showed the people that were treating His children so poorly who was Boss and told His kids I am getting you out of here and taking you to a better neighborhood, come on lets go.
Now you would think that if your good Father came and rescued you from a really bad situation that you would be pretty grateful, right? Well, God the Good Father thought the same thing. All He wanted to do was take care of us again and have us love Him and be good children. In fact, He was all set to have a sit down face to face with His children, but no, we said we wanted to be responsible for getting ourselves back into the house and if God would just tell us what He wanted us to do and not do, we would do all those things and accept the consequences if we didn’t.
God the good Father said, all right if that’s the deal you want to make. I’ll write down the rules, but if you don’t follow the rules, you are going to have to pay the consequences, that’s just the way it goes.
Even though God the good Father knew better, He started writing down all the rules He wanted us to keep in order to stay out of trouble. But before He could even get the first ten rules written down we were already partying and doing wild stuff, I mean it was a mess. And here we were telling God the good Father that we were going to be responsible.
He finally gave us a whole big book of rules to follow and if we broke any of the rules, the punishment was going to be really, really bad. We’re talking the death penalty. We would have to pay the fine with our own blood and our life. But He knew we couldn’t keep all the rules, so He said we could use the life and blood of an animal in our place, but the fine would still have to be paid in blood, if not ours then an animal’s blood.
For years and years we kept trying to keep the rules, but we just couldn’t, so sometimes we just forgot about the rules totally, went completely wild, did disgusting things, and insulted God the Good Father. Because He is a good Father He did what any good father would do, He disciplined us to try and teach us a lesson. Depending on how bad we had been some of the disciplining was pretty harsh, but He always gave us a chance to say we were sorry and get back in good standing with our good Father.
We would listen for a while, but before too long we would be right back to partying hard and doing bad things and He would have to punish us again.
After a while it became so apparent that we weren’t going to listen that He started sending messengers around to tell us that we were messing up and if we didn’t knock it off we were going to be punished again. But we didn’t listen. I mean how many times does your Father have to punish you before you finally get the message? Apparently we had not discovered where that limit was and we were bound and determined to see how far we could push it.
Finally, God sent some messengers who told us He knew we weren’t going to ever listen, so He was going to send someone to live among us who would once and for all pay the price for all the bad stuff we had been doing and then we could come home to live with the good Father. So what do you think we did? We killed the messengers! Can you believe it?
As you might imagine, after that, God the good Father was pretty upset with His children. In fact He let most of us be carried off to parts unknown where we would barely remember what family we were a part of. But there was this one child that God the Good Father had promised that there would always be someone from his family that He favored.
This was because that child really, really loved God the Good Father. In fact, it was going to be one of that child’s relatives that He was going to use to get His whole family back together and living under one roof again. So even though that child’s family had to be punished, He would make sure a few of them remembered who their family was and eventually He would get us together again.
Well, a lot of years went by and that family finally stopped acting up and decided they needed to behave and follow the good Fathers rules. But pretty soon some of the family started to feel like they kept the rules better than anyone else and they started bossing everyone else around like they were all that and everything. They even started to tweak the rules to suit themselves and that made it even harder for everyone else to keep the rules and feel like they were part of God the good Father’s family.
To make matters worse, even though they were living in a neighborhood that the good Father had told them was theirs and they could have it forever, there were bullies that kept coming around.
The bullies said, “where is this good Father you say gave you this neighborhood, we don’t see Him anywhere.” Either you start paying us rent or we’re going to make life very bad for you. As usually happens, after a while a new bunch of bullies would come along and take over and the family would have to pay rent to them.
Then the family remembered that a long time ago some of the messengers had said that one day God the Good Father was going to use someone from their family to get them all back into God the Good Father’s house where they would live with the good Father again.
Things were so miserable with the bullies and they were really looking forward to that person showing up, saving them from the bullies and making the neighborhood theirs again. But a lot of years went by, a lot, as in hundreds. Still, they kept expecting someone to come and get them back into the house to live with the God the Good Father.
Now God the good Father was mostly dealing with this one family, because He had promised that there would always be someone from that family that He favored. But He was the Father of all the children on the earth and He loved all of them. He wanted all of His children to come home and be welcomed back into the house to live with Him forever. He didn’t want a single one of them to be lost or left out. But He had made a promise to send someone to help out the family of that child that long ago had loved Him so much, so he had to deal with that family first.
But there was this little problem. See God the Good Father had said all the children of the first child, the one that got everyone kicked out of the house, would always be banned from the house. God the Good Father had to keep His word, he couldn’t go back on it. He needed someone who had never been banned from the house, who had never broken any of the good Father’s rules, someone who could patch things up with God the Good Father and get the children back into the house.
Now this was somewhat of a problem because the only other one in the house was God the Good Father. So He was going to have to come down as one of us to straighten things out. But He couldn’t just come into the world in some other person’s body. Besides that person would have come from a man and woman who were kicked out. So He decided that He was just going to be born of a woman that had never been with a man. That way He would be a man, but wouldn’t be from a man who was banned from the house.
Now because He is good, He would never just take over some woman’s body that had never been with a man and have her give Him birth. Remember, we were still trying to live by the rules God the Good Father had given us and having a baby when you weren’t married was one of those rules that carried the death penalty. That’s why it took so long for Him to get here. He had to find a woman who loved Him so much that she was willing to risk losing her fiancée and maybe even being put to death to do what He needed her to do.
So finally, He found a woman named Mary who was engaged to a man, but they weren’t married yet and she agreed to become pregnant and give birth to a child who would be called the Son of God the Good Father.
So, yes you read that right, the mother of the Son of God started out as a single mom.
Now her fiancée, his name was Joseph, was not too happy about finding out that she was pregnant, because it seemed pretty clear that she had been sleeping around. I mean who was going to believe that it was God the Good Father who had magically made her pregnant? If he called off their wedding because she was pregnant, Mary might be put to death for breaking a really serious rule.
So God the Good Father sent one of His messengers to talk to Joseph and told him it was really true that the good Father had asked Mary to give birth to His Son on earth and that Joseph should go ahead and get married to Mary. The messenger also told Joseph they were to name the baby Jesus. So Joseph agreed and they got married. Joseph was a carpenter and the couple lived in very small town, far from the big city.
Remember that God the Good Father had promised the child that loved Him so much, that one of His relatives would be the one to save all the children. So just as God the Good Father had planned, both Joseph and Mary were descendants of that child.
So, instead of being born a super hero, a royal king, in a palace in a big city, God the Good Father came to live among us as the son of a single mom, who married a regular guy, and lived a simple life in a small town.
Remember that God the good Father said, “if you keep all the rules, I’ll let you back in the house”, but no one could do it. It was just impossible. God the good Father decided that if He was ever going to get the family back together again a man would have to keep all the rules and then there would have to be one payment in blood that would cover breaking the rules for everyone else in the whole world. He knew that only He, God the Good Father, could do it. So He became the man, Jesus, just for that purpose.
Now Jesus was truly a man, just like one of us. But He was also God. (I know, that’s why they call it a mystery. You can ponder that for a while.) For Jesus to know what to say and to be able to do all the things that God the Good Father wanted to accomplish on the earth, He knew that Jesus would need direct guidance from Him. So God the Good Father sent His Spirit to become the Spirit of Jesus. That way Jesus could hear and see everything that God the Good Father was saying and doing.
God the Good Father wanted everyone to know that they were never going to be able to keep all the rules and all He really wanted was for them to come back to Him, put their trust in Him so they could be a family again. If they would just believe that He loved them enough to come down as His own messenger and tell them directly, then He would forgive all of them and never be angry with them again.
But even though they had heard from all the messengers before and were expecting God the good Father to send someone to save them from the bullies, they still weren’t convinced that this Jesus was the one. Jesus taught them about God the good Father better than anyone else had, but still they weren’t convinced. So Jesus began to perform miracles that they could actually see, like healing all the sick or disabled people that came to Him for healing. He even brought back people that had died.
Some people believed that He really was God living among us, but lots of others said He wasn’t. Mostly the ones that didn’t believe were the ones who still thought they could keep all the rules, but weren’t even coming close.
Those unbelievers were also trying to stay on the good side of the bullies. They were afraid that if they said Jesus was the King who was going to free them from the bullies, it might make the bullies really mad and it might not go well for them. So they decided that they needed to do something about Jesus before He got everyone in the neighborhood all worked up to the point where the bullies would start killing people and tear up the neighborhood.
Now Jesus being God the Good Father and having His Spirit inside of Him, knew all the things that had to happen for the family to get back together. Everything the messengers from before had said had to come true. Someone had to keep all the rules and someone had to pay with their blood for everyone else that had broken the rules or ever would break the rules.
Jesus knew that He was the only one that could do it and that was the reason He was on the earth. Still, as a man, it was a scary thing to face. But because He loved all of us and He loved and trusted God the Good Father he was willing to do whatever it took so the family could get back in the house and live with the good Father again.
Jesus began to tell the believers who were with Him that the unbelievers were going to kill Him, but they shouldn’t worry because three days later He would be raised from being dead and would show up to talk to them. But that He would be here just for a while because then He was going to go back to be with God the Good Father.
Now some of them said that they wouldn’t let anything happen to Him, but many just didn’t know what to think about Him saying He would come back from the dead. That’s when He told them that when He went to be with the good Father that He was going to send them the same Spirit that God the Good Father had sent to Him to be their guide and counselor.
Everyone who believed would receive God the Good Father’s Holy Spirit and it would be a new spirit for them.
So, just as the messengers of long before had said, the unbelievers lied about Jesus and talked the bullies into killing Him. They beat him so bad that you could hardly tell that He was a human being. Then they took Him to the top of a hill and they nailed him with big nails to a wooden cross and stood it up so everyone could see what would happen to you if you mess with the bullies.
And so, Jesus died.
Some of the believers took Jesus and buried Him in a tomb that was sort of like a cave and they rolled a great big rock over the entrance to the cave. Three days later when they came to mourn for Jesus, the rock was rolled away and Jesus wasn’t in the cave. Instead, there was a messenger from God the Good Father who told them that Jesus was alive just like He said He would be. Lots of people talked to Him, touched Him and ate with Him. Then, just like He had said, God the Good Father brought Him back to Heaven to be with Him there until it is time for Him to come back again.
Jesus had kept every rule that God the Good Father had given to His children, so Jesus was a man who was no longer banned from the house. Even though He had kept all the rules, Jesus shed His blood and died so that none of the children who were banned from the house would have to die or give their blood to get back into the house. Because Jesus gave His blood and His body in our place, God the Good Father said I will never be angry with my children again to the point where I kick them out of the house.
Every one of His children who believe that He came to earth as Jesus and died for us would be welcomed back into the house and it would be just like it was before we got kicked out. We would know God the Good Father and have a close relationship with Him and Jesus. We would be His family and He would be our Father.
It wasn’t anything that we did, it wasn’t because we kept the rules, it wasn’t because we were good. It was because of what Jesus did by shedding His blood and dying in our place. It was because Jesus is good and God the Good Father is good that we are allowed back in the house. Jesus took our punishment and paid the price to get us back into the house and all we have to do is say “Thank you Jesus, I believe that you are God’s Son and you have saved me from being banned from the house forever”. That’s all you can do, we are incapable of doing more than Jesus did to restore us to God’s family as we were before we got kicked out.
And another really important thing about it all being just like it was before we got kicked out: we will live forever! Remember we said, God the good Father made us to look just like Him and God the Good Father is a spirit, so He sent His Spirit to be our spirit in our new life that Jesus has given us.
Remember that Jesus said He would send the Holy Spirit to be with us when He went to God the Good Father.
When we believe and we say out loud that Jesus saved us from being kicked out of the house, He sends us the Holy Spirit to live inside of us and we become a new person. That new person has the same Spirit that God the good Father sent to Jesus. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from being dead, will live inside of you. That means that you are a new person and the old you has gone away.
When you were born, you were the descendent of a person that had been kicked out of the house. When you become a new person that is no longer kicked out of the house it is like you were born all over again as a different person. And a person who has an intimate relationship with God the good Father and His Son Jesus Christ has eternal life, because you have Their spirit and They have come and made Their home in you.
Your eternal life begins as soon as you believe, not when your body dies. You have been born again with a new spirit and you are a new person. A person who is welcome in God the good Father’s house forever.
