If you do nothing else that I talk about in this site, I want to challenge you to do this one thing. If you will do it, you may find that you have the will to do everything else.

Having a clear vision of you living the life you have imagined is very important. If you can see yourself living that life then you can also back it up and see yourself doing the things that need to be accomplished for you to get there.

Your imagination is very important in helping you change your life. Sometimes when you let your imagination loose it can go in almost any direction. 

To get a clear vision of the new life that best suits you, it may be necessary to first get quiet in your mind. In order to do that you have to take your thoughts captive. That means to stop thinking about everything that is going on around you or in your life today, just stop thinking about those things. It’s harder than it sounds, but every time a worrisome or distracting thought enters your head just say “not now” and don’t let it be the start of a thought process that takes you in the wrong direction. 

Try to get to a quiet state of mind when you begin thinking about your new life and how you are going to get there. When you are imagining your new life, take your time and add details that come into your imagination. 

You might have some debates with yourself, be sure to write down both sides of the argument. I promise you that if you will write down the details of what you imagine it will help you refine your plan and expedite achieving your goals. No, you won’t remember, so write it down.  

There is only one thing to avoid. Don’t put limits on yourself or your story. Once you get farther into the planning phase you may need to do some editing, but at this point don’t hold back. And don’t be afraid to have a “and they lived happily ever after ending.” 

It’s your story and no one else is allowed to define your happiness. You can chose to live happy, regardless of how things are going and as long as you are following God the good Father’s instructions you can be happy. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
